Topsail Island, Surf City, Holly Ridge and Sneads Ferry
The beaches are the main attraction on Topsail Island and for good reason. The clean, wide, uncrowded beaches of North Topsail Beach, Surf City and Topsail Beach are perfect for swimming, surfing, walking and relaxing, but don’t think that’s all there is to do on Topsail Island!
The region’s year-round mild weather means that outdoor activities are at the forefront. Fishing and boating at the top of the list, and golfing, tennis, surfing, kite-boarding, paddle-boarding, sailing, Jet Skiing, kayaking, running and many other outdoor sports are among the to-do list on a daily basis. Surf City is home to a fishing pier, bike paths, a park and a community recreation center offering public classes, fields, gyms and courts. We offer the information you’ll need to get going with any of these activities. The active crowd will also appreciate our information on health clubs, fitness centers, triathlons, races and more.
The Topsail Island area hosts a handful of annual events and festivals each year, is home to several art galleries and offers two very popular attractions — the Missiles and More Museum and Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center. If you don’t know where to start, our Daytrips section suggests a way to spend a day in the Topsail area.
If you’re looking for something else to do, peruse our Volunteer Opportunities section, which will help you feel good while helping others. If you’ve fallen in love with someone AND Topsail Island, see our Weddings section, which will help you plan one of the best things to do on Topsail's serene beaches – get married!
